FitzGerald Associates Architects provided architectural services for the renovation of the entry and lobby at the Warren Barr Gold Coast rehabilitation and skilled nursing center.

The initial phase of renovation on the 9-story building, located at 66 West Oak Street in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast, included updates to the building’s entry and lobby with a 22-foot-tall bronze-tinted glass wall along Oak Street, a new entry canopy, and a reoriented entrance. The project also enlarged and remodeled the existing lobby to include a new reception desk and seating areas, a café/lounge, and a spa, as well as renovated administrative offices and conference rooms.

FitzGerald also renovated the facility’s 8th-floor physical therapy unit for owner Legacy Healthcare, including treatment areas, administrative spaces, and washrooms.
