For FitzGerald, Master Planning in real estate development is not only about finding the highest value and most rational planning strategy for a site, it is also about creating a place and collection of buildings that is more than the sum of its parts - that has meaningful impact to the broader community, and that creates a catalytic energy fostering ambitious development in the surrounding context.
Whether the site is several acres or several dozen acres of land, we bring the same rigor of design exploration that we do to our architectural pursuits. We study the opportunities and constraints of the site and context while simultaneously examining the requirements and character of the intended program elements for the site, and how best the elements of the program can integrate with one another, add liveliness to the environment, and reinforce the successful performance of each part of the program.
We invest as much attention to the spaces and amenities between buildings as we do to the buildings themselves, seeking to comfortably solve vehicular and pedestrian circulation to maximize the quality of the pedestrian experience, work hand in hand with stormwater management, landscape, lighting and environmental graphics to create a chemistry of comfort and enjoyment throughout the planned environment.
