Metra Ravenswood Station

Chicago, Illinois

FitzGerald Associates Architects was retained by Walsh Construction to provide full architectural services for the replacement of an aging Metra commuter rail station in Chicago’s Ravenswood neighborhood. The station consists of two 700-foot platforms with warming stations, a new ticketing area, commuter areas, and mechanical spaces.

Special consideration was given to maintaining a low impact on the commuter rail schedule, and FitzGerald played an active role in planning a construction phase that provided a successful, timely solution while minimizing the impact on area commuters and nearby residents.
